Michael Samardzija

Michael Samardzija currently serves as Vice President of Research Affairs at Loma Linda University Health, where notable achievements include attaining Minority Serving Institution status and R-2 classification for high research activity. Prior experience includes various leadership roles in law firms, specializing in intellectual property and patent litigation, as well as directing the intellectual property department at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where significant cost reductions were achieved. With a robust educational background encompassing a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law and a PhD in Physiology from Loma Linda University, Michael has consistently contributed to both the legal and scientific communities throughout a diverse career.
