Davide Lomeo

Davide Lomeo is a Research Assistant at King's College London, focusing on satellite remote sensing algorithms for detecting Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) in tropical lakes. Davide collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to integrate remote sensing data and enhance community outreach. As a Teaching Assistant, Davide has delivered high-quality instruction to approximately 150 students annually across various environmental science modules, earning nominations for teaching awards due to positive student feedback. As a PhD Candidate in Earth Observations Sciences, Davide conducts extensive fieldwork to acquire ground-truth data for validating satellite sensors while developing advanced algorithms for HAB analysis. Previous experience includes a Technical Specialist role at Apple, a Technology Intern position at Bright Network, and serving as General Manager at multiple coffee shops, demonstrating strong operational and leadership skills. Davide holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in progress and an MPhil in Environmental Science from King's College London, alongside a Master's from Imperial College London in Applied Computational Science and Engineering.
