Viva Mogi currently serves as the Director of Strategic Programs and Policy Development at Long Beach Unified School District, where responsibilities include advising on program and policy development to support strategic objectives. Previously, Mogi held various leadership roles in the San Francisco Elections Commission, including Commissioner and President, and served as Director of Policy and Planning in the San Francisco Unified School District, providing strategic advice on high-stakes issues and successfully advocating for significant funding for teacher salaries. Additional experience includes interim leadership at SPARK*SF Public Schools, roles in government relations and civic engagement, and educational positions. Mogi holds a Master of Public Affairs from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University.
