Justin Mares

Justin Mares is an experienced entrepreneur and executive, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of TrueMed, a company that enables health and wellness brands to access consumer tax-free funds. Mares founded Kettle & Fire in 2015, establishing it as the leading shelf-stable bone broth brand in the United States. As a Venture Partner at Long Journey Ventures, Mares invests in unique startups, while also co-founding Surely and Perfect Keto. Additionally, Mares is the founder of HelpKitchen, a non-profit addressing food insecurity during the COVID crisis. Prior roles include co-authoring Traction Book and co-founding Upside Financing, which was acquired by Ampla. Mares has a background in finance, holding a BSBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
