Drayton Prator has a range of work experience in different roles and industries. Drayton currently works as a Petroleum Engineer at Lonquist & Co., LLC, where their primary focus is on reservoir simulation for CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) Class VI injection wells. Drayton'sresponsibilities also include testing and monitoring solution mined salt caverns and writing Class VI injection well applications for clients. Prior to this role, Drayton worked as a Petroleum Engineering Intern at the same company, where they worked on projects involving reservoir simulation for CCUS projects, federal and state regulatory work for Class VI injection wells, and creating well databases in Excel and wellbore schematics in AutoCAD.
Before their work at Lonquist & Co., LLC, Drayton also gained experience as a Petroleum Engineering Intern at the company in 2021. In this role, they conducted research on CCUS and built presentations on gas storage and disposal into solution mined salt caverns, saline aquifers, and depleted oil and gas reservoirs. Drayton also gained field experience in frac sand services and worked collaboratively with a team of contractors.
Drayton's previous work experience includes a Summer Internship at Locke Lord LLP in 2019 and a position as a Lifeguard at the City of West University Place from 2015 to 2017.
Drayton Prator completed their Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Lamar High School from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Drayton obtained certification in Python Quick Start from LinkedIn in September 2020.
