Jen-Ming Chung has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Assistant Engineer at LearningTech until 2003. Then, from 2006 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, focusing on natural language processing and machine learning algorithms.
In 2012, Jen-Ming joined Quanta Research Institute as a Specialist 1, leading a team that implemented BaaS for moapps project. Their responsibilities included developing a cloud backend with features like single sign-on and push notifications, as well as introducing modern data architecture and scalable backend architecture.
From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Sr. RD Engineer at Delta Electronics, conducting research and development on NLP/Text Mining algorithms and applications. They utilized word2vec and other NER mechanisms to process unstructured data and identify named entities.
In 2015, Jen-Ming also joined ATGENOMIX as a Sr. Big Data Engineer. There, they designed and implemented the VARTOTAL backend using big data technologies to annotate genomic data quickly and efficiently. Additionally, from 2017 to 2018, they served as a Sr. Genomic Data Scientist at ATGENOMIX, improving performance and cost-effectiveness through novel algorithms and data structures.
In 2018, they joined Ruckus Networks as a Staff Software Engineer, working until 2021. In this role, they contributed as a Principal Software Engineer and focused on software development.
More recently, in 2022, Jen-Ming started working as a Staff Infrastructure and Application Engineer at Lookout.
Jen-Ming Chung earned a Master's degree in Management Information Systems, General from Chung Yuan Christian University. This educational achievement took place from 2003 to 2005.
