Fiona Mills, Ph.D., is an experienced educator currently serving as a teacher of English and Social Sciences at The Loomis Chaffee School since June 2019, where involvement in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is also noted. Prior to this, Fiona held teaching positions at Proctor Academy from August 2014 to June 2019, where responsibilities included roles in the English and Social Sciences Departments as well as serving as Multicultural Coordinator. Fiona's academic career includes lecturer positions at Colby-Sawyer College and St. Anselm College, teaching courses in a variety of literature including African American, Caribbean, and multi-ethnic literature. Earlier teaching experience includes a role at The Loomis Chaffee School from 2008 to 2011, along with serving as Assistant Professor at Curry College from 2003 to 2006. Fiona holds a Ph.D. in African American Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA in English from Trinity College-Hartford, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of San Diego.
