Dr. Shashwat Ganguly

Dr. Shashwat Ganguly has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2010 with an internship at the Electronics Regional Test Laboratory as an Intern - Microelectronics Lab. Dr. Shashwat then worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Accenture from 2010 to 2013. After this, they worked as a Freelance Operations Engineer at Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they collaborated with their team leader to install, manage, maintain, operate, and improve the world-leading automated sports officiating system. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a KTP Research Associate at Heriot-Watt University, where they were responsible for spearheading optimal implementation strategies of smart condition monitoring and optimisation protocols. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Research Consultant (part-time) at Craigalan Controls Ltd, engineering solutions for implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to optimise existing controls workflow employed by CCL. Dr. Shashwat is currently a Co-Founder & CTO at Looper and a participant in the HS2 Innovation Accelerator Cohort 3.

Dr. Shashwat Ganguly has an extensive education history. Dr. Shashwat completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, and Energy Management from Heriot-Watt University between 2014 and 2018. Dr. Shashwat also completed their Master of Science (MSc) in New and Renewable Energy from Durham University between 2012 and 2013. Dr. Shashwat obtained their B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Amity University between 2007 and 2011, and their CBSE +12 from Salwan Public School between 1994 and 2006. Additionally, Dr. Ganguly has obtained certifications from Coursera in Build Basic Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects in 2021.
