Julie Garcia

Julie Garcia has extensive experience in education and counseling, currently serving as the College Placement Director at Arrupe College Loyola University Chicago since 2016, where Julie developed the Transfer and Alumni Support Department. Concurrently, Julie has been an Adjunct Faculty member at National Louis University since 2019, focusing on Adult Learning Theory and Cultural Competency. Additional roles include membership on the Admission's Advisory Board at Loras College and volunteer positions such as Soccer Coach and School Board Member at Ascension Catholic School. From 2010 to 2016, Julie worked at Josephinum Academy as a College Counseling Consultant and Coordinator of Student Services. Previous experience includes serving as a Board Member at The Friendly School of Folk Music and an Outplacement Consultant at Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc. Julie holds a Post Graduate School Counseling Certification from Northern Illinois University, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from ISPP.
