Janet Dejean Newton

Janet DeJean Newton is an experienced educator and consultant with a diverse background in English education, drama, and theatrical arts. Currently, Janet serves as an English Teacher at Wabeno Area School District since July 2020 and has also been self-employed as an Educational Consultant, Theatrical Director, and Actor since June 2018. Prior to this, Janet worked as an Advanced Tutor with the Forest County Potawatomi Community Education Department and held multiple teaching roles at Plymouth High School from August 2002 to June 2018, including teaching English, Speech, and Drama, while also directing plays and coaching a comic improvisation team. Janet holds a Master of Arts in Education from Lesley University and multiple degrees in Theatre and Education from institutions including Boston University, Lakeland University, and Wisconsin Lutheran College.
