Ms. de Rivera joined the Public Pensions General Counsel Division in April of 2022. She advises and represents LACERS and its two sister City of Los Angeles Pensions on various issues with a particular focus on healthcare benefits administration, health information privacy and security, and administrative writ proceedings.
Before joining the City Attorney’s Office, Ms. de Rivera practiced healthcare and administrative law. She represented medical providers in credentialing, peer review, and licensing matters, and she has extensive experience litigating writs of mandamus associated with these administrative proceedings. Ms. de Rivera also advised her clients on corporate and healthcare regulatory matters including health information privacy and data security.
Ms. de Rivera holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mount Holyoke College and Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
