Theodore Shu has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Theodore started their career as a Primary Care Physician at QueensCare Health Centers in 2007 and continued in this role until 2011. During this time, they also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at USC University Hospital and the University of Southern California, respectively. In 2015, they joined Los Angeles County Health Services as a Primary Care Physician.
Currently, Theodore is working at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services as a Lead Senior Physician in Adult Primary Care Medicine. In this role, they supervise physicians and nurse practitioners, leads data and outreach efforts to achieve PRIME measures, and actively contributes to the development of new policies and protocols for non-licensed staff.
Theodore Shu attended UC Irvine from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General. After that, they attended New York Medical College from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained an MD degree in Medicine. Additionally, they hold a certification from the ABIM Foundation for the American Board of Internal Medicine.
