Saman Kashani

Saman Kashani serves as the Assistant Medical Director at the Los Angeles County Fire Department, focusing on telemedicine, Mobile Integrated Health, and EMS high-utilizers since July 2020. Previously, Saman held the position of Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California from June 2018 to July 2020 and was the Telemedicine Program Director at LAFD from October 2019 to March 2020. Saman's expertise also includes completing an EMS Fellowship and Emergency Medicine Residency at LAC+USC from June 2013 to July 2018, and serving as an EMS Specialist in Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response at Riverside County Department of Public Health from 2007 to 2009. Saman's international experience includes being a Health Volunteer with the Peace Corps from 2004 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University School of Medicine, a Master of Science in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from UCLA.
