Alicia Ramirez

Associate Director, Lifelong Learning Department at Los Angeles Public Library

Alicia Ramirez is currently the Associate Director of the Lifelong Learning Department at the Los Angeles Public Library. Alicia has been with the organization for over 20 years, starting as a Children's Librarian in 1997. In their current role, they oversee a team of librarians who provide educational programming and services to adults, families, and seniors. Alicia is passionate about making the Library a welcoming space for everyone and ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to succeed.

Alicia Ramirez has a Masters in Latin American Studies and Library and Information Science from UCLA and a Bachelors in Theirtory of Art from UC Berkeley.

They work with Madeline Peña - Associate Director, Engagement & Outreach Department, Kelly Tyler - Associate Director, Youth Services Department. Alicia Ramirez reports to Eva Mitnick, Director, Engagement & Learning Division.
