Joanna Hunter is in her sixth season with the Rams as senior director of corporate communications. In this role, she oversees the club's communications strategy around the team's off-the-field matters including business and social responsibility efforts.
Hunter helped lead the efforts of the Rams PR staff that won the Pro Football Writers Association's Pete Rozelle Award, which is given annually to the NFL club public relations staff that consistently strives for excellence in its dealings and relationships with the media in 2018 after the department was named a finalist for the award following the 2017 campaign.
The 2021 season will be Hunter's 16th season in the National Football League, spending 10 seasons at the league office as part of the NFL's communications department. She started her career at the NFL in 2006 as a communications assistant, transitioning to corporate communications in 2007. She most recently served as the NFL's director of corporate communications, focusing on rapid response and crisis management, as well as communications around business initiatives and key issues such as health and safety and social responsibility.
