Maya C. has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2022, they worked as a Social Media Director at the Los Angeles Review of Books, where they were responsible for planning and overseeing social media content, marketing campaigns, and brand collaborations. Prior to this, they worked as an Operations, Finance, and Special Projects Assistant at the Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Foundation, and as a Marketing and Publicity Intern at the same organization. Maya also interned at the Los Angeles Review of Books as an Events and Publishing Workshop Intern in 2021. In 2020, Maya interned at the Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote) during the summer. Maya gained legislative experience as a Legislative Intern at the Office of Representative Conor Lamb (PA-17) in 2019. Maya also worked as a Kids Club Associate at Equinox from 2017 to 2019, where they took care of children aged 3 months to 10 years. Maya had an internship at the NAPABA Law Foundation in 2018 and contributed as a Contributor at Muslim Girl in 2017-2018. Additionally, they worked as a Finance Fellow for Mike Honda for Congress in 2016 and as a Summer Intern at The VENG Group in 2015, where they conducted research and outreach on advocacy issues.
Maya C. completed their high school education at Walt Whitman High School from 2013 to 2017. Maya then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature at Occidental College, graduating in 2021.
