Jessica Niven-Kohring

Curator Of Community Inclusion at Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Jessica Niven-Kohring has over a decade of experience in community inclusion and education, currently serving at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens since May 2011 in various leadership roles including Curator of Community Inclusion, Director of Equity Programs, and Manager of Inclusion and Community Partnerships. Prior to this role, Jessica worked as the Director of Camp Programs at the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority from September 2008 to May 2011, and held the position of Environmental Programs Coordinator at Breathe LA for a brief period in 2008. Additionally, Jessica served as the Lead Outreach Instructor at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County from 2005 to 2008. Jessica holds a Master's degree in Education from California State University-San Bernardino and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies/Anthropology with a minor in African Studies from St. Lawrence University.
