Francesco Lauria (CCA,CPA)

Francesco Lauria is a CCA, CPA with extensive work experience in various companies. Francesco began their career as a Lieutenant in the Aeronautica Militare. Francesco then worked as a Consultant at Accenture, where they served AGIP PETROLI S.p.A. as a client. Francesco later joined PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting as a Senior Manager, working on projects related to budgeting, forecasting, corporate financial reporting, and organisational processes.

Following their time at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, Lauria served as the Internal Auditing Director at Manuli Hydraulics, where they were responsible for corporate governance, risk assessment, and compliance. Francesco also worked on implementing new corporate procedures and conducting risk assessments across multiple legal entities.

Lauria then moved on to Atahotels, where they held multiple roles, including CFO and Internal Auditing Director for the UNIPOLSAI Group. In these positions, they worked on various projects, such as due diligence for moving to the Italian stock exchange and implementing new corporate control and reporting models.

After their time at Atahotels, Lauria joined Lottomatica as the Chief of Internal Audit & GRC. Here, they were responsible for setting up the audit function at the corporate level, managing and coordinating the Group audit function and activities. Francesco developed an annual risk assessment and audit plan, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

Aside from their corporate roles, Lauria is also a member of the AIIA | Associazione Italiana Internal Auditors since 2003 and served as a Socio ordinario at AODV231 starting in 2018.

Francesco Lauria has a strong education background in finance and accounting. In 1983, they obtained their Diploma Liceo Scientifico from Liceo Scientifico Armando Diaz. In 1996, they became a Certified Chartered and Public Accountant (CCA-CPA) from Luiss Guido Carli University.

Additionally, Francesco has obtained two additional certifications. In 1996, they became a Certified Chartered Accountant from Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili. Francesco later earned the Certified Public Auditor certification from the Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze in October 1999.
