Michael Miller

Michael Miller serves as the Director of Emergency Operations at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development since August 2010, where responsibilities include coordinating emergency management activities, overseeing evacuation transportation, public works, debris removal, damage assessment, and cost recovery. Previously, Miller held roles as the Emergency Operations ESF-1 Lead Coordinator and Military Liaison, providing state coordination and operations for emergency responses. With a substantial background in military operations, Miller served for over two decades in the Louisiana National Guard Counterdrug Task Force and the Louisiana Air National Guard, where Michael coordinated counterdrug support and managed safety operations. Miller holds a degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and completed high school at Chalmette High School.
