Tom Strider is an experienced registrar and curator with a strong background in collections management across various institutions. Since 2018, Tom has served as Registrar and Curator 3 at the Louisiana State Museum, overseeing registrarial management for exhibitions and collection-related activities at multiple sites and managing the collections committee's agendas. Prior to this role, Tom worked as a Collections Management Consultant, providing services to cultural institutions and private collectors. Tom's earlier experience includes serving as Registrar for University Collections at Tulane University, where management of 5,000 object records and the development of a new storage facility were key achievements. Tom also held the position of Collections Manager at Jersey City Museum, responsible for the preservation and storage of over 10,000 artifacts. Tom holds a Master’s Degree in Art History from Tulane University and a Bachelor's Degree in Art and History from Appalachian State University.
