Rita F. Buettner has a diverse work experience in communications and journalism. Rita F. started their career in 1998 as a Reporter for the Lebanon Daily News and later worked as a Staff Writer for The York Dispatch. In 2002, they joined McDaniel College as the Associate Director of Media Relations. Rita then transitioned to the State of Maryland as a Public Affairs Manager from 2004 to 2007. Rita F. subsequently worked as a Writer/Editor at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland for a year. In 2012, they became a Blogger for the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Rita joined Loyola University Maryland in 2008 and served in various roles, including Assistant Director of Institutional Communications, Director of Marketing and Communications, and Director of University Communications. Additionally, they have been a Columnist for The Catholic Review since 2016.
Rita F. Buettner is currently an M.A. student in Emerging Media at Loyola University Maryland, expected to complete their degree in 2024. Rita F. previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Latin and English from Franklin & Marshall College, graduating in 1998. Rita attended Roland Park Country School from 1990 to 1994, although no degree or field of study was specified during that period.
