Kati Vilonen

Kati Vilonen is a Development Manager in Hazardous Waste Management at Lassila & Tikanoja, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Kati served as Manager of Laboratory and Catalysts at UPM Biofuels from October 2020 to August 2023, and has a background as a Senior Specialist and senior researcher at UPM from September 2012 to October 2020, focusing on biofuels R&D. Kati's academic experience includes teaching and research positions at Aalto University from January 2010 to September 2012, specializing in catalysis and reaction engineering, with a strong emphasis on sustainability in engineering education. Additionally, Kati worked as a researcher and teacher at Helsinki University of Technology from 1998 to 2009. Kati holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and a qualification in adult education from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.
