Steve Barker

Steve Barker is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and security management. Currently serving as a Special Investigator for the Lubbock Police Department since February 2019, Steve has previously held roles including Director of Security at Covenant Health, where oversight of security management programs was a key responsibility. Additional experience includes part-time security management at Carillon House and several years as a school bus driver for Durham School Services and Citibus. Notably, Steve's career includes significant time with the U.S. Secret Service, where investigations on various financial crimes were conducted, and a foundational role as a Corporal in the Lubbock Police Department's patrol and K-9 divisions. Educational credentials include a BA in Criminal Justice from Wayland Baptist University, complemented by military service as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
