Ben McDermott

Ben McDermott is an experienced technology manager at The Lubrizol Corporation, specializing in engine oil additive formulation and overseeing future product development projects since November 2010. In this role, McDermott directly engages with key OEMs on new engine oil development initiatives. Prior to The Lubrizol Corporation, McDermott served as a senior research scientist at AstraZeneca, focusing on organic synthesis in discovery chemistry, and held project management positions at Ultrafine and GlaxoSmithKline, where responsibilities included process chemistry and scaling chemical processes for the pharmaceutical industry. McDermott holds a PhD and BSc in Chemistry from The University of Sheffield.
