Doug Jacobs

Doug Jacobs has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and cybersecurity. Doug started their career at May Department Stores as a Help Desk Analyst and later served as a Level III Analyst. Doug then worked at Federated Department Stores as an IT Control Analyst and an AIX Systems Programmer. Doug joined The Lubrizol Corporation and held various roles, including IS Staff Auditor, Lead IS Auditor, Systems & Applications Monitoring, and Cyber Security Analyst. Currently, they are working as a Lead SOC Analyst at The Lubrizol Corporation, responsible for ensuring network security and defending against cyber attacks.

Doug Jacobs holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering Technology from The University of Toledo, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Computer Maintenance and Networking from Lorain County Community College, where they studied from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their degrees, Doug has obtained several certifications, including GIAC Advisory Board and GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON) from GIAC Certifications in 2022, Cisco Certified Network Associate Cyber Ops (CCNA Cyber Ops) from Cisco in 2018, ITIL Version 3 Foundation from CSME in 2011, and Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in 2009.
