Veridiana Pontes currently serves as the Managing Director of Development at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art since June 2023. Prior to this role, Pontes was the Chief Development Officer at the Hammer Museum from December 2016 to June 2023, where responsibilities included designing and executing the museum’s annual fundraising program and collaborating with leadership to establish strategic priorities. Pontes also held the position of Director of Development at UCLA from August 2014 to December 2016, overseeing all fundraising aspects for the Center. Earlier experience includes serving as Director of Development at MOCA from January 2012 to August 2014, and as Co-Director of Development and Donors Program Manager at MOCA from June 2004 to August 2010. Pontes began a career in development at Christies, working as a Business Associate from 1999 to 2003, where significant contributions included developing lucrative marketing strategies for auctions. Educational background includes a BA in Industrial and Product Design from FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado and an MA in Museum Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
