Bud Leeper

Bud Leeper has a strong background in human resources and people operations. Bud is currently the Chief People Officer at Lucas Systems, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Seegrid from 2017 to 2022, where they served as the People Operations Leader. In this role, they led all aspects of People Operations and Culture, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. During their tenure, they grew headcount by 300% while maintaining a high retention rate. Bud also enhanced the company's benefits offerings and led their Covid-19 people strategies.

Earlier in their career, Bud Leeper held various HR roles at Elliott Group, Ebara Corp from 2012 to 2013, Mylan Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to 2012, Comcast from 2003 to 2010, Dick's Sporting Goods from 2001 to 2003, and Tuscarora Incorporated from 1997 to 2000. These roles involved responsibilities in employee relations, labor relations, talent management, and HR business partnering.

Bud Leeper pursued their education in a sequential manner starting from their high school to their master's degree. Bud completed their high school education at Belle Vernon Area High School from 1987 to 1990. Bud then enrolled in Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where they earned their bachelor's degree in Human Resources and Industrial Management from 1990 to 1995. Afterward, they continued their education at the same institution and obtained a master's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from 1996 to 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Bud Leeper has also acquired professional certifications to enhance their expertise in the field. Bud holds the certification of SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the International Human Resource Certification Institute (IHRCI).
