Ian Dorward has extensive work experience in the medical field. Ian started their career in 2000 as an Associate at Princeton Consultants. In 2005, they became a Neurosurgery Resident and General Surgery Intern at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. From 2009 to 2011, they held various positions including an Innovation Fellow at the Center for Innovation in Neuroscience and Technology, a Spinal Deformity Research Fellow at Washington University School of Medicine, and a Neurosurgical Registrar at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Neurosurgery Chief Resident at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. Ian then became an Orthopedic Spinal Surgery Fellow and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. In 2019, they founded Lucid Ratings.
Ian Dorward is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at The Wharton School, expected to be completed in 2023. Ian obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2005, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology from University of Colorado Boulder in 2000. Ian has also obtained several certifications, including Foundations and Applications of Financial Technologies Specialization from Wharton Online in May 2020, Entrepreneurship Specialization from Wharton Online in April 2020, Blockchain: Foundations and Use Cases from ConsenSys Academy in September 2019, and The Board Certifications offered through the American Academy of Neurological and Orthopaedic Surgeons from the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 2018.
