Mike's earliest work experience was at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From August 2003 to April 2008, they worked as a Research Programmer in the Systems Management Group, responsible for server administration and developing provisioning and monitoring solutions. Prior to that, from March 2002 to September 2003, they worked as a Network Systems and Services Analyst in the Operations Center, providing support for the campus network and developing monitoring tools.
