Arick Burnett has over 13 years of experience working in various capacities within the law enforcement and emergency management fields. Arick began their career as a Police Officer for the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation in 2009, where they enforced criminal and civil laws and established an active threat response program. In 2015, they were promoted to Police Sergeant and oversaw a team of 10+ police officers, managing work schedules and officer trainings. In 2017, they became a Police Lieutenant, responsible for overseeing all patrol, corrections, and emergency management activities, as well as creating department policies and managing program budgets. In 2020, Arick transitioned to the role of Emergency Manager, wherein they managed the Emergency Management Program for the Chehalis Tribe, overseeing hazard mitigation planning and coordinating local emergency response plans. Arick held this position until 2022, when they joined the Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel as the Director of Security.
Arick Burnett obtained a Basic Police Officer Certification from the United States Indian Police Academy in 2009, specializing in Law Enforcement. In 2014, they completed a Certificate in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Currently, Arick is pursuing a Certificate in Emergency Management from the Emergency Management Institute, with an expected completion in 2022.
