Jose J. Pastor

Jose J. Pastor is an experienced professional in biochemistry and molecular biology, currently serving as the Head of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Innovation Development Manager at Lucta since November 2013. In this role, Jose specializes in the development of new functional feed additives utilizing natural products while managing laboratory operations in chromatography and molecular biology. Prior to this, Jose held the position of Collaborative Project Laboratory Manager at Barcelona Science Park, focusing on designing synthetic paths and drug-like compound synthesis in partnership with pharmaceutical companies, including Eli Lilly. Jose's research experience includes working at Universitat de Barcelona - Fundación Bosch y Gimpera on biopolymers for drug-delivery and peptide analysis. Jose's educational background includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Universitat de Barcelona, complemented by various degrees and courses in innovation management, project management, and medicinal chemistry from reputable institutions.
