Head, Laboratory Of Cell Biology at Ludwig Cancer Research

Don Cleveland has extensive work experience in the field of medicine, neuroscience, and cellular and molecular medicine. Don served as the Chair and Professor in various departments at the University of California, San Diego since 1995. Don also worked as the Head of the Laboratory for ALS Research in San Diego starting from 2003. Prior to that, they were the Head of the Laboratory of Cell Biology at Ludwig Cancer Research from 1995. Don held multiple professor positions at Johns Hopkins University in the Department of Neuroscience from 1991 to 1995, in the Department of Biological Chemistry from 1988 to 1995, as an Associate Professor from 1985 to 1988, and as an Assistant Professor from 1981 to 1985.

Don Cleveland's education history begins with their bachelor's degree in physics from New Mexico State University, which they earned between 1968 and 1972. Don then pursued further education at Princeton University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences from 1973 to 1977. Following this, they attended the University of California, San Francisco from 1978 to 1981 for a postdoctoral program in an unspecified field of study.
