Lullabot is seeking a part-time contractor to perform the duties of a Content Entry Assistant within the United States.  who will thrive as part of the innovative and supportive team. We are looking for someone who can follow written and verbal instructions and examples to transfer content between web pages that cannot be migrated using an automated process. 

For success in this role we are looking for a contractor who can follow written and verbal instructions and examples to transfer content between web pages that cannot be migrated using an automated process, who has a good understanding of basic HTML related to page structure, how page structure and content contributes to SEO, and has a familiarity with CMS and basic web development.

Job details:

Pay -

     $25-35 an hour depending on experience

Job type -

     Contract / Part-time / Remote

Shift -

     15-35 hours per week, based on availability and project needs

Contract Duration -

     Varies (typically 1-3 months)

Description:

  1. Lullabot is looking to have a number of individuals available for content transfer/entry as needed.

  2. Contractors would remain on contract (between projects/weeks) and as opportunities become available, Lullabot would provide a SOW with the specific dates, hours per week, and project specific expectations.

  3. This position offers the unique opportunity to grow your skills in content creation, SEO optimization, and digital storytelling, while working alongside experienced Content Strategists.

Duties:

  1. Work independently with oversight and direction from the Project Manager to complete the transfer of web page content from one system to another.

  2. Meet on a regular basis with the Project Manager (based on project needs)

  3. Collaborate with the Project Manager and/or Content Strategist to ensure high quality results

  4. Communicate and track daily progress using a todo/list style software or spreadsheet

  5. The specific number of hours per week expected to be fulfilled will be specified on a granular basis (per 2 week period or more)

Responsibilities:

  1. Follow written and verbal instructions and examples to transfer content between web pages that cannot be migrated using an automated process. It is more complex than “copy/paste” but does not require the skills of a content writer.

  2. Read and adjust content to improve readability by breaking it up with bulleted lists, headers, and other web styling elements as directed.

  3. Inspect and edit visual placement of images, and write alt text and captions, to improve page utility and clarity

  4. Add or edit editorial web components so they are used most efficiently and in line with the content strategy and intent of the design system

  5. Edit transferred content based on guidelines provided by content strategy team members

  6. Examine transferred content and re-format according to guidelines provided by a content strategist

  7. Ongoing collaboration with content strategy team to ensure efficiency and quality

Qualifications:

  1. Understanding of web content best practices, including writing for accessibility and inclusivity

  2. Understanding of how to use of basic HTML to create page structure

  3. Understanding of how page structure and content contributes to SEO

  4. Knowledge/Experience in Computer Science, Web Development, Communications, English, Journalism, or related fields.

  5. Writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity and brevity, and the ability to adapt style and tone for various clients and industries.

  6. Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  7. Familiarity with CMS, Google Analytics, and basic web development is a plus.

  1. A computer with access to the internet and a modern web browser.

  2. A Google Email address that can be used for professional work/contract

  1. Learning the basics and how to use Drupal Content Management System - Editorial Interface

  2. Learning the basics of web accessibility and content best practices

  3. Learning the basics and how to use Slack (communication)

  4. Learning the basics and how to use Jira (task management)
