Gloria Jean Royster

Children's Book Author at Lulu Press

Gloria Jean Royster is an accomplished designer, writer, and civic engagement advocate with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as Principal Designer at Gloria Jean Stories since April 2021, Gloria creates Tampa history postcards, books, and tours. A highly skilled writer and editor, Gloria has published works in Creative Loafing Tampa Bay and edited significant manuscripts, including Salahuddin Muhammad's "America's Imam." As a consultant for the City of Tampa's Ashley Drive Redesign Project, Gloria provided historical insights and contributed a personal essay to the grant application. Additionally, Gloria authored the children's book "GO! In The Snow" and has led walking tours to elevate local history. A community organizing activist, Gloria has held leadership roles in various civic organizations and has a strong background in environmental and social change initiatives. Educational credentials include studies at Columbia College Chicago, Harry S. Truman Junior College, and Bard College/Atlanta Clemente Course in the Humanities.
