Sean Hart, PhD

Sean Hart, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and leadership. In 1994, they started as a Graduate Student at Tufts University Chemistry Department, where they worked until 1998. Following this, they joined Nova Research, Inc. as a Senior Scientist from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they joined the Naval Research Laboratory as a Research Chemist, where they worked until 2012. During this time, they played a significant role in various research projects. In 2012, Dr. Hart became the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Scientific Officer at LumaCyte, a company that produces label-free single cell analysis and sorting instrumentation. Sean was also appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at LumaCyte. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director at LumaCyte, B.V., starting from January 2020. Throughout their career, Dr. Hart has brought their expertise in scientific research and leadership to contribute to the development of innovative technologies in various fields such as viral infectivity, cancer biology, infectious disease, and pre-clinical drug discovery.

Sean Hart, PhD, earned their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Suffolk University, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Sean then pursued further education and obtained their Doctorate in Chemistry from Tufts University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
