Willie Hartman has a diverse work experience in various industries. Willie is currently working as the Design Lead at Lumafield, where they are responsible for the principal UX and HMI design across all software and hardware intersections. Prior to this, Willie worked as a Product Consultant at Rangerboy, where they developed coherent strategies and content for clients. Willie also worked on bootstrapping the product experience for Spatial Ape, leading to the launch of their standalone app. Willie has also held the position of AR, Games & 3D Lead at Ubiquity6 Inc., where they directed a team to develop a streaming racing game with crowd participation mechs, and led company-wide efforts in 3D UX. At ILMxLAB, Willie worked as a VR/AR/MR Game Designer & Prototyper, leading the design of the official VR companion to Star Wars Episode 8 and working on Magic Leap projects. Willie also served as a Production Assistant for the team, managing various VR/MR content and tech development projects. Willie was also part of a small indie studio called Tropopause, where they released a game for iOS called Honeychain. In addition, Willie has experience in the film industry, having worked as a Production Assistant and Development Consultant at Illumination. Willie contributed to the production of films like Minions, The Secret Life of Pets, and Sing, and also worked on talent development, asset delivery, and market trends. Willie started their career as a Student Worker at the Office for Wellness and Health Promotion USC. Willie also gained experience as a Development Intern at 2929 Productions and worked on special projects at Trojan Vision Television. Prior to that, they worked as a Geek Squad Counter Agent at Best Buy.
Willie Hartman attended the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Animation and Digital Arts.
