Senior Serverless Engineer at Lumar

Konstantinos Papakonstantinou has been working in the software engineering industry since 2005. Konstantinos began their career at Actiglobe S.A. as a Full Stack Developer, where they designed, developed, and maintained SQL Server databases and back-end services using C# and VB. In 2006, they moved to EXUS as a Full Stack Developer, where they developed front-end user experience using C#, CSS, AJAX and was involved with new features requiring both back-end and front-end development. In 2008, they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer at EXUS, where they were a key team member in the design and development of the application and developed new features that contributed to attracting new customers. Konstantinos also designed and implemented APIs using Swagger. In 2015, they moved to Real Consulting as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were actively involved in the complete software development life cycle and created reusable components for future use. Konstantinos then moved to Aurea Software, where they held various roles including Cloud Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. As a Cloud Engineer, they were a key member of the product's cost optimization team and reengineered legacy application components and moved them to cloud. Konstantinos also created AWS Lambda functions using JavaScript and TypeScript. As a Senior Software Engineer, they created a tool to automatically generate AAA (Arrange/Act/Assert) unit tests for C# projects, by analyzing code under test, using .NET Compiler Platform SDK (Roslyn) and MS Fakes. Konstantinos also mentored developers on how to use the unit test generation tool to speed up unit test creation process. Konstantinos also rebuilt legacy products UI in a new modern tech stack, designed and implemented REST APIs using Swagger and .NET Core/C#, and developed new application features and updated/added to unit tests over time. Konstantinos also integrated application with Skype for Business and troubleshooted and resolved issues reported by users. Currently, they are a Senior Serverless Engineer at Lumar (formerly Deepcrawl).

Konstantinos Papakonstantinou obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Net Centric Systems from the Department of Digital Systems at the University of Piraeus between 2006 and 2008. Konstantinos also obtained a Diploma in Informatics from the Computer Engineering and Informatics (CEID) at the University of Patras between 2000 and 2005. In addition, they have obtained various certifications from Microsoft, Coursera, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), including MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 Specialist (Microsoft, 2014), MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional (Microsoft, 2012), MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Web Applications (Microsoft, 2010), MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Applications (Microsoft, 2010), Analyzing Global Trends for Business and Society (Coursera, 2014), The Modern World: Global History since 1760 (Coursera, 2014), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (AWS, 2021), AWS Certified Developer – Associate (AWS, 2021), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (AWS, 2021), and MCSD: Web Applications (Microsoft, 2015).
