Anne Mäkelä

Anne Mariët is an experienced criminology educator currently serving as a Docent Criminologie at Universiteit Utrecht since January 2021. Previously, Anne held multiple roles at the Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (NVWA) from September 2015 to December 2020, including Senior onderzoeker / adviseur Inlichtingen- en Opsporingsdienst and Tactisch rechercheur Inlichtingen- en Opsporingsdienst. Early career experience includes positions as Medewerker ontbijt- & lunchzaak at HOOI, Orthopedagoog/Studiecoach at Max Studiepartner BV, and an internship as Orthopedagoog i.o. Forensische Diagnostiek at Ambulatorium OGH Zetten. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Global Criminology and a Master of Science in Forensische Orthopedagogiek, both from Utrecht University, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogische Wetenschappen.
