Greg Atkinson

Greg Atkinson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Greg is currently serving as the Senior Director, Worldwide Controller and Treasurer at Lumentum since August 2022. Prior to this, from June 2020 to August 2022, they worked as the Assistant Corporate Controller at NeoPhotonics. Before that, they held the position of Director of Global Accounting Operations at Fluidigm Corporation from July 2016 to June 2020.

Greg also has a strong background in finance and management roles. Greg worked at BT from April 2015 to September 2016 as the Director - Global Services Balance Sheet & Capex Management and from September 2010 to April 2015 as the Head of Finance - Global Services and UK Balance Sheet, Working Capital & Cash. Greg also served as the Head of Finance (Book to Report B2R) – Financial Shared Service Centre at Aggregate Industries UK from February 2008 to September 2010.

Earlier in their career, Greg worked at Office Depot as the Senior Finance Manager – International Accounting, Reporting and FP&A from March 2006 to May 2007, as the Financial Controller – European Financial Reporting from March 2004 to March 2006, and as the Finance Manager – European Financial Reporting from December 2002 to March 2004.

Greg's career started at Perot Systems Europe Ltd, where they worked in various finance and analyst roles from July 1998 to November 2002. Greg also gained experience as a Financial Report Writer at LLOYDS BANK from February 1997 to June 1998.

Greg Atkinson's education history includes a BA (Joint Hons) in Accounting, Finance & Economics from the University of Essex, which they obtained between 1991 and 1994. From 1998 to 2000, they pursued further studies at CIMA and obtained a degree in Accounting and Business/Management, specifically ACMA, CGMA. In 2019, they acquired a CPA certification (Certified Public Accountant) from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Currently, Greg is studying at CIMA for an FCMA degree in Accounting and Finance, starting in 2024.
