Uday Deshmukh

Uday Deshmukh, MD, MPH, CPE, FACP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Uday is currently serving as the Vice President & Chief Medical Officer at Luminare Health. Prior to this, they worked as a Healthcare Consultant at Uday U Deshmukh MD. From 2015 to 2019, they held the position of Chief Medical Officer at HealthHelp, where they provided leadership and communication skills to lead large teams and developed clinical decision support systems.

Dr. Deshmukh has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine from 2013 to 2017. Uday served as a Member of the Advisory Panel on Rare Disease at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) from 2014 to 2017, providing recommendations for conducting research in rare diseases. Uday was also a Member of the Medical Advisory Panel at the Technology Evaluation Center, BlueCross BlueShield Association in 2015.

In addition, Dr. Deshmukh has held senior medical leadership positions at Duval County Medical Society, Florida Blue (BlueCross BlueShield of Florida), CIGNA Healthcare, and Keystone Mercy Health Plan. Their roles during this time included Senior Medical Director, Lead Medical Director, Medical Director, and Physician Advisor.

Dr. Uday Deshmukh earned their MBBS in Medicine from Delhi University, where they studied from 1982 to 1987. Uday then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree specializing in Health Policy and Management from The Johns Hopkins University, from 2003 to 2006.
