Jo-Ann Ding

Jo-Ann Ding is currently working as a Principal in Luminate, providing advice and support to the Centre for Independent Journalism in their efforts on media freedom and freedom of expression. Previously, Jo-Ann has worked as a Writer and Researcher, a Researcher with Sreenevasan on institutional reform, a Legal Advisor with Human Rights Watch, and as part of the Legal Support Team for the Institutional Reforms Committee. With a background in law and human rights, Jo-Ann has also worked as a Lawyer and a Media Monitor, focusing on trends in freedom of expression and media independence. Graduating with a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford, Jo-Ann has a strong background in legal and human rights issues.
