Bárbara Oliveira

Barbara Oliveira is a Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Luminate Medical, a medical device startup in Galway, Ireland, focused on developing "Lily," an innovative device designed to prevent hair loss during chemotherapy. With a background in clinical research and engineering, Barbara has served as Technical/Clinical Lead for the Lily project at the University of Galway and has contributed to significant clinical trials, including a pilot study for a novel breast cancer detection imaging device. An experienced educator, Barbara has taught electronics to talented primary school students and has a solid academic foundation with a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering.
