Martin O'Halloran

Martin OHalloran serves as a Professor of Medical Electronics at the National University of Ireland, Galway, since January 2019, holding a joint appointment between the Colleges of Science and Engineering and Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences. In addition to this, Martin OHalloran is the Executive Director of BioInnovate Ireland and has co-founded Luminate Medical, where the role of Chief Scientific Officer is held. Martin OHalloran leads the Patient and Public Involvement Programme for the Ignite initiative and is the NUI Galway Lead for the Health Innovation Hub Ireland. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electronic Engineering, as well as Master’s degrees in Clinical Research and Teaching and Learning from the University of Galway, complemented by a Diploma in Microwave Engineering from the University of Oxford.
