Rhea Kang

Rhea Kang, Ph.D., is a Scientist III at Luminex Corporation, specializing in the development of custom multiplex bead-based protein and genomic assays using xMAP and xTAG Technology since October 2020. Prior to this role, Rhea served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where noteworthy achievements included completing a meiotic DNA damage repair project that contributed to two manuscripts, independently designing follow-up experiments, and managing a Hi-C project that led to further publications. Rhea's earlier experience includes positions as a Graduate Research Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center and as an Associate Manufacturing Scientist at Agilent Technologies, where Rhea supported molecular product production and validation. Rhea earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin.
