Christopher Ruhland has a diverse and extensive work experience in the mechanical engineering field. Christopher currently holds the position of Senior Mechanical Product Engineer at Luminii since March 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Emerson Automation Solutions, where they served as an Engineering Group Leader from January 2019 to March 2020 and as a Senior Project Engineer from January 2016 to January 2019. Ruhland also worked at Focal Point, LLC as a Senior Design Engineer from July 2010 to August 2012. In this role, they introduced new ideas and concepts to expand the luminaire product offering, developed conceptual ideas into mass-producible final products, and advanced the integration of high-performance LED modules.
Prior to their time at Focal Point, Ruhland worked as a Mechanical Engineer (Contract) at TK Simplex from March 2010 to July 2010, where they designed components and tooling for a new product line and updated forging and casting drawings for offshore manufacturing. Christopher also performed failure mode analysis using COSMOS.
Ruhland started their career as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Eagle High Mast Lighting Co., Inc. from April 2008 to December 2009. In this role, they supervised construction personnel, created drawings for manufacturing operations, and optimized the contract bid process.
