Charles Barry

Charles Barry has had a long and successful career in the technology industry. Charles began their career in 1989 as a Principal Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation. Charles then moved on to Luminous Networks in 1999, where they served as CTO and was responsible for founding, funding, building and growing the company to become a leader in Metro-Ethernet networks. In 2004, they founded, funded, built and grew Brilliant Telecommunications, becoming the leader provider of IEEE1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) solutions. In 2011, they joined Juniper Networks as Sr. Director, Engineering and drove the integration of Brilliant Telecom's corporate, human and intellectual resources into Juniper. In 2012, they became CTO of Jolata and in 2018 they became CEO of Luminous Cyber | Data science driven application and network optimization.

Charles Barry attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Charles then continued their studies at Stanford University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1988 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering in 1994. Additionally, Charles Barry holds a Private Pilot, Single Engine Land with Instrument Rating certification from the FAA and a Professional Engineer certification from the CA Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geoligists.
