Astros Quitayen is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the field of electronics and power management. Currently serving as a Principal Field Applications Engineer at Lumissil Microsystems since 2016, Astros specializes in analog products for automotive, medical, and industrial applications. Prior roles include Power Technology Specialist at Intel Corporation and Senior Staff Field Applications Engineer at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, with a focus on power SoCs and power transistors, respectively. Additional experience encompasses positions as a Senior Field Applications Engineer at Monolithic Power Systems and Exar Corporation, and leadership roles at Emerson Network Power and Astec Power, where expertise in high-density DC-DC converters was developed. Astros also has a solid foundation in hardware design from time spent at NEC Corporation. Academic qualifications include a B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of San Carlos and a Master in Technology Management from the University of the Philippines.
