Forrest E. Meyen, Ph.D

Forrest E. Meyen, Ph.D has worked in a variety of roles in the aerospace industry since 2009. In that year, they were a Space Launch Systems Engineer at Alaska Aerospace. From 2011 to 2017, they held the roles of Aerospace Structures Engineer at Blue Origin, Ph.D. Candidate, Aerospace Engineer, Electrochemist, Entrepreneur at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Aerospace Engineer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Research Specialist at the MIT Haystack Observatory. In 2017, they became a Commercial Program Manager and Lead Avionics System Engineer at Draper. Forrest E. was also a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Raptor Maps from 2015 to 2021. In 2018, they founded Destiny Space Systems and in 2021, they became a Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Lunar Outpost.

Forrest E. Meyen, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, their M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and their BSME and BSBE in Mechanical Engineering and Biological Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Forrest E. also holds certifications from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as an EMT-B and from PADI as an Open Water Diver.
