Jim Manico

Jim Manico is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in application security and education. As the Founder and CEO of Manicode Security since January 2014, Jim focuses on teaching developers to write secure code. Current roles include serving as a Strategic Technical Advisor for Edgescan and Akto.io, where Jim applies cybersecurity expertise to enhance security technology and align strategies with emerging threats. Active involvement with OWASP since 2008 includes co-leading various projects aimed at improving application security standards. Throughout a diverse career, Jim has also held advisory and board positions across multiple organizations, contributing significantly to the fields of security investment and educational initiatives. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Siena College and has participated in industry training programs, including Black Hat US 2007.
