Chandra Shekar Ph.D has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, primarily focusing on process research & development and new product development. Chandra started their career as a Research Scientist at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories in 2000, eventually progressing to the roles of Group Leader and Associate Director. Chandra was also a Vice President at Dr. Reddy's Labs, overseeing integrated product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Chandra Shekar also served as the Vice President of New Product Development at Lupin. Additionally, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT, focusing on organometallic catalysis.

Chandra Shekar Ph.D began their education at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, where they received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of the new synthesis of biologically active Heterocyclic compounds from 2005 to 2010. Chandra later pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012, focusing on Nickel catalysed asymmetric C-C bond formation.
